From a Distance

I was feeling a little seasonal. I haven't actually taken much for photos as of late so I decided to start off with some seasonal ones.

Look! Snow :} Though I do not approve of cold.

Ugh. I like the fact I can get some new photos around this time of year. A lot of which are mostly seasonal, Christmas photos but I dislike the cold about a billion times. So, that usually makes me stay indoors where it's warm - so no photos.

I have to bribe my Mom in hauling my ass around town to get photos taken. What sucks is that my Mom usually isn't home during the day, and when she is, it's on the weekend and I'm always working. LAME.

The holiday season normally makes me pretty cheerful aside for the cold, but since I haven't been getting much work lately my financial situation SUCKS royally. I can't even afford to get anyone Christmas presents but I'm going to bite the bullet anyway. I had one person buy my photography a while back in October but that's about it since then. No one has shown anymore interest. I only made $40 but at least I sold something.

Ugh. I hate being poor just as much as I hate being cold.

My real name is Crystal. I'm a novice photographer and I get a lot of help from my close friend, =Ubastyyat when it comes to editing some of my photos.

I was born in Etobicoke, ON but raised in Sudbury, ON. I have a younger sibling (brother) and I'm an avid lover of animals - cats especially. My name "Gremshula" comes from a Maltese nickname my father has given me since I was little. It roughly translates in to "small lizard" since I fidget a lot and don't tend to stay in one place for long.

I just recently purchased a Nikon Coolpix P80 and that is what I use to take my pictures. I'm still trying to figure out how the camera works, so bare with me :D The pictures are typically of my local surroundings: my Mom's garden, the town I live in and places I visit. I'm still quite new at all this and I've always wanted to try my hand at photography and apparently, I seem to have an eye for it.

I have a website outside of dA: [link] which I use to give a thorough explanation of some of my photography as well as post up a few that don't make it here.

All in all, I really hope you enjoy what you see.
